Quoins
Cast Stone
What is a quoin?
Quoins produce a distinctive architectural final design, elevating the appearance of any project. Quoins are further used for structural purposes to frame buildings or add contrast to brickwork. Originating in ancient Rome to add strength to the corners of buildings, quoins developed into an architectural detail by the European Renaissance.
Quoins are available in a range of types:
L-Quoin is the standard profile, built into the wall one long side over one short side.
Reveal Quoin built into the wall as standard, usually used on door and window reveals.
Chamfered Quoin are projecting quoins where the edges are chamfered for aesthetic purposes.
